Inner City Scaffolding becomes a Company Supporter of the Lighthouse Charity
Inner City Scaffolding is proud to announce its official partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of those working across the construction and scaffolding sector.
Supporting Our Workforce Beyond the Scaffold
The scaffolding industry plays a critical role in enabling safe access to complex construction environments, but it also comes with its own physical and mental challenges. From working at height to operating within tight project constraints, the pressures faced by operatives and site teams cannot be overlooked.
By becoming a Company Supporter of the Lighthouse Charity, Inner City Scaffolding is taking proactive steps to ensure that our workforce, including the wider construction community, has access to vital support when it matters most.
The Lighthouse Charity provides 24/7 confidential support, offering emotional, physical and financial wellbeing services for construction workers and their families. Their work is invaluable in an industry where mental health awareness and support are more important than ever.
A Commitment Aligned with Our Values
At ICS, safety has always extended beyond compliance and site procedures. While we maintain rigorous standards in scaffold design, installation, inspections and dismantling, we also recognise that true safety includes looking after the people behind the projects.
Supporting the Lighthouse Charity aligns with our core values:
- Protecting people at every level – both on and off site
- Promoting mental health awareness in the construction workforce
- Contributing to a stronger, more resilient industry
This partnership is not just symbolic; it reflects a genuine commitment to fostering a culture where individuals feel supported, heard and valued.
Strengthening the Industry Together
The construction and scaffolding sectors thrive on collaboration. By joining the Lighthouse Charity community, Inner City Scaffolding stands alongside others who are actively working to make a meaningful difference.
Through this collective effort, we can help:
- Break down the stigma surrounding mental health
- Provide accessible support to those in need
- Build a safer, more supportive working environment across the industry
Inner City Scaffolding Wellbeing Hub
We have created a dedicated Wellbeing Support Hub for anyone on our sites and in our offices to access. The hub also contains the names and details of our trained Mental Health First Aiders, ensuring staff always know who they can speak to confidentially and without judgement.
Looking Ahead
Inner City Scaffolding is committed to promoting awareness of the Lighthouse Charity’s services across our workforce, clients, and supply chain partners.
We encourage everyone in our network, from site operatives to project managers, to familiarise themselves with the support available through the Lighthouse Charity.
Together, we can ensure that the scaffolding and construction sectors remain not only safe places to work, but supportive communities to be part of.
If you or someone you know in construction is struggling, please reach out.
Support is available 24/7 via the Lighthouse Helpline 0345 605 1956 and website.
